Central to the organisation’s success and development are high-standard personnel, procedures, and certifications.
Clinical Governance is the term used to describe a systematic approach to maintaining and improving the quality of patient care within a health system.
Under the Immediate Assistants Clinical Governance Framework, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), managers at all levels, and clinicians are responsible and accountable for patient care; minimising risks to clients, patients and staff; and continuously monitoring and improving the quality of care provided. All medical staff are adequately experienced, accredited, registered, and skilled in the analysis, planning and implementation of medical risk mitigation strategies to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Each Immediate Assistants company has a nominated Medical Director (MD), who oversees all clinical aspects of its operations. The minimum qualification level for this role is Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM), or country equivalent.
As an organisation, Immediate Assistants maintains an expert Medical Advisory Panel of committed physicians and specialists, bringing together a highly-experienced team of individuals with both technical and commercial knowledge, who can identify and develop medical services and risk management offerings across a range of industries.
The Clinical Governance Framework presented in this document describes the key aspects of Clinical Governance for Immediate Assistants.
